Set Standards

I’m sure you all have heard of Jon and Kate.

Well, there they are on their wedding day.

Don’t they look lovely?

I wonder if Kate knew that Jon would turn into a complete douchebag.

I wonder if Kate knew that she would be raising eight kids by herself.

She probably did not know, but there were signs.

 There are always signs.

People just choose to ignore them.

People choose to ignore them because they are in love.

People choose to ignore them because they want love.

People choose to ignore them because they are afraid of being alone.

They don’t understand that they have to deal with the issues that they choose to ignore.

They get upset when everything falls apart.

They get upset when they realize that their loved one is not going to change.

They get upset when they realize they could have made better choices.

They could have set standards.

What do you look for in a loved one?

Do you want someone who is smart?

Do you want someone is faithful?

Do you want someone who is kind?

Do you want someone who is smart, faithful, and kind?

It is possible, if you set standards.

If you want someone smart then find someone who is educated.

If you want someone who is faithful stay away from players.

If you want someone kind then find someone who loves to helps others.

Don’t settle.

You may be alone for a while but it won’t last forever.

There is someone out there just for you.

Take time to find them.

You will be happy you did.

“If you don’t set a baseline standard for what you’ll accept in life, you’ll find it’s easy to slip into behaviors and attitudes or a quality of life that’s far below what you deserve.”

I am loving your blog so much ! It touches me ! I agree we should never settle but fear is so strong it is difficult for people to trust themselves enough to not settle !

    Thanks : )
You are right, fear is the main reason that people settle.
When people are scared its because they don’t have confidence in themselves. This is why we should always set standards for ourselves. We attract people into our lives. We should be the kind of person that we want to attract.
