Follow your Dreams

Dreams are essential to human life. They keep us going. They keep us alive. They give us hope. So, why are we so quick to abandon them? Why are we so quick to devalue what matters most? Why do we discourage others? Most would say it’s life but I say it’s fear. We are afraid to be successful. We find bad in anything. We feed our brains with unnecessary drama. We can recite meaningless lyrics, but we can not take time to pursue what we really believe in. We run when we get close to success and encourage others to do the same. We are afraid to take chances. We are told that our dreams are unreachable. We are laughed at. We are teased for trying.

They laugh because they are cowards.

They tease because they are envious.

They don’t matter.

You do and so do your dreams.

Following dreams is a lot easier said than done. You have to deal with the haters, the naysayers, and the critics. You have to deal with yourself. You will become your own worst enemy. You will doubt yourself. You will find reasons not to make your dreams come true. You are going to have to ignore yourself. It’s going to be hard. Anything that is worth anything is hard.

You are going to fall.Get back up.

There will be tears, smile.

There will be laughs, enjoy them.

There will be success, if you follow your dreams.

That is so true. It is crazy how people fear success, i know I have. It can very intimidating. As I have gotten older and wiser I no longer fear anything but God. Very inspirational, thanks!

  3. i’ve been dealing with this very concept of fear…. your post is inspiring and so true!! everyone is afraid, so why not just get over it and go after your dreams? easier said than done, but definitely worth the effort 🙂
