Coping with Stress


We live in a busy world. There are always new things to do . Sometimes we feel like we can not pull through. Sometimes we feel like what we do is not good enough. We worry that we will be replaced. We worry that we are making mistakes. We focus on things that we can not change. We stress. We usually think negatively about stress.We think of messy hair, baggy eyes, and coffee  (lots of coffee).  We do not realize that stress can be positive. Stress pushes us to accomplish the impossible. Stress keeps us focused. Stress keeps us on our toes. Stress should not be  a problem. It is our reaction to stress that matters most. We can not let stress control us. We must control stress.

Here are some ways to tame stress and conquer success:

1) Breathe- There is nothing more refreshing than a breathe of fresh air. Take some time to breathe. Count to ten. Meditate and Relax.

2) Do something you enjoy-  Read a book, watch a movie, or listen to some music. Have fun.

3) Remember- Remember the last time you were stressed. Did you accomplish your goals? Imagine how much easier it would have been if you would have tamed your stress. Use past experiences to better present experiences. Believe in yourself.

Relax


Have you ever been so busy that you couldn’t remember what you planned to do next? Have you ever had a migraine the size of Texas? There is one simple answer to both of these problems, Relax! I know that this may seem hard at times but, its necessary.  If you never put aside time for yourself then life will pass you by. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so learn to enjoy life.  Relax by reading a book, taking a vacation, or treating yourself to a nice meal. Whatever you do, treat yourself by doing something you love because you deserve it.

And remember,

“Stressed is desserts spelled backwards.”
